My entry into bucipuci's around the world challenge 38/5 is a photo I took last weekend. We had just done a local parkrun and headed to Kawana Beach on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia for a swim. It was really hot, so the swim was very nice even though the wind and waves on this open stretch of coastline were a bit rough.
Kawana is an Aboriginal word, meaning wild flowers.
I used to live in a neighbouring surburb and used to be a surf club member patrolling this beach. Luckily, I never had to rescue anyone, but it was good to learn about the beach and ocean.
