Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit (John 12:24 KJV).

Dying to self is a must if I aim to live for God Almighty, the creator of mankind and the entire universe. Therefore, let us delete as to write the best content. Die as to live the best!

THE MESSAGE:

The Christian life presents a unique paradox or pattern that appears to contradict itself, yet it is rich in eternal truths. The spiritual life embodies the essence of the One who initiated it and the essence of the One who sustains it. Many believers fail to grasp or appreciate the miraculous nature of our new birth, leading them to be wounded, hurt, and embittered by God's actions.

When we gain a deep understanding of these matters, akin to the saying that a problem understood is a problem half solved, we will begin to discern the path laid out for us more clearly and start making progress.

Naturally, we fear the notion of dying, self-sacrifice, and self-denial, yet these are the eternal principles that not only underlie our existence but also fortify our Christian character.

Death is a universal fear, but it is an experience we must all undergo if Christ delays His return. The Apostle Paul stated, "...I die daily..." (1 Cor. 15:31). Our comprehension of the concept of dying will enhance our work and our walk of faith, as it is an intrinsic aspect of our being meant to strip us of our pride and conceit. It also propels our lives forward, as we become motivated and purposeful when we contemplate the brevity of life.

The principles of death and self-sacrifice are elucidated by the Lord in John 12:24 to underscore the driving force behind our growth, expansion, and ability to renew ourselves.

As in the plant kingdom, so it is in God's Kingdom; we must die to live. Through death comes eternal life, through crucifixion and the tomb emerges the Throne and the Palace of the eternal God that we are destined to share. We may be struck down, but we do not perish (2 Cor. 4:9), and in our brokenness, we are transformed into people of resilience and integrity to mend what is shattered.

Joseph's endurance during the trials he faced equipped him with the strength and resilience required to serve as Prime Minister in a foreign land and effectively manage the nation amidst a global economic downturn. If we place our trust in God, He will ultimately fulfill His purpose in our lives.

CALL TO SURRENDER:

If you would like to give your life to Jesus, you can do so by saying this prayer:

Lord Jesus, I come to You a sinner. I ask that You forgive my sins. I accept You my heart as my Lord and personal saviour. Thank you for saving me, in Jesus' name. Amen.

GENERAL PRAYER
Dear Lord, help me to hold unto You and Your word until this momentary season of the trial of my faith is over.
