CONTROLLING THOUGHT:
From the beginning, God's idea has been to reveal His attributes through man.
THE MESSAGE:
Man was not created to establish his own way of life, but rather to embody God's essence on earth by reflecting His attributes and characteristics for others to witness.
However, this purpose was thwarted with Adam when he deviated from God's will, resulting in the loss of God's nature.
The passage under consideration today reveals that Christ is the perfect representation of the Father.
It is crucial to understand that God sought a flawless model. While Adam fell short, Jesus emerged as the epitome of perfection, illustrating the Father's intended way of life for humanity. He epitomized the divine concept of being "created in His image and likeness". Thus, Jesus paved the way, demonstrating the ideal way of life and the Father's expectations.
As believers, we are called to mirror God's essence, which we have inherited through Christ. God does not expect us to display what He has not bestowed upon us, but rather what He has instilled within us when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
Are you reflecting the true character of Christ through your lifestyle, or are you living according to your own desires?
