Things have become so complicated and time-consuming nowadays. My house is getting old. I have lived here for more than 25 years, and it has seen a lot. Many things need attending too. I have been busy over all that time and maintenance, and the upkeep has slipped to only what absolutely needed doing.
We have a strong concrete tile roof but over the 25 years the weather has faded it so much that when I cleaned it for the first time in, you guessed it, in 25 years, in many places there was no paint left, just concrete tile.
The concrete tile itself is still ok and should have a lot more life in it, but they reckon the paint helps protect it, gives a good street appeal, and will help the house hold some value.
Paying someone else to do the job is just so expensive with all the rules and regulations so I had a trip down to my local hardware store to see if it might be possible to tackle the job myself.
After a lot of questions and a good look at options, doing the job myself could save me thousands of dollars but take a shit load of time. I could also help build some big activity count days.
It is a big decision. I might need a couple of days to think about it.
