So after my morning workout and breakfast, I started a job that has been needing doing for ages. I'm not really sure if I have enough skill and / or experience to tackle the job on my own, but it would cost a small fortune to pay someone else to do it. So I thought I would have a go.
I thought if I broke the job up into small parts, I should be able to muddle my way through it.
I have lifted a few roof tiles in my job as an electrician over the years, but I was a bit worried about the cracked tile near the Ridge coping.
My concrete tile roof is over 25 years old, and everyone else in the street with similar age houses has had their roofs re pointed and painted. You can see that the hot Australian sun has given my roof a beating over the years the paint has faded and the pointing cracked and fallen out in places.
Replacing all the cracked and damaged roof tiles was not that hard in the end, but the next step of replacing all the crack pointing along the coping Ridge lines might take me a while to get right.
All the work, up and down the ladder, gave me a decent activity count.
