Some sort of rescue helicopter was circling around the nature reserve today. I was thinking it was most likely some sort of training rather than any sort of emergency.
The chopper didn't seem to worry the wallabies. As I walk past this one, it cornered itself at the creek. I was going to back up so as not to panic it, but it calmly looked around, then hoped clean right over the creek to safety. I did not think it could go that far from a standing start in bushy scrub. It must have been like 3 metres. I definitely would not have made it without getting wet, but I suppose jumping is its speciality.
We had another nice sunset to finish a good activity day.
