It's amazing how something that should be simple can be so complicated by arguments and obstructions. I imagine patience was tested more than once. Thank goodness you guys were distracted for a while by a baby and cookies to relieve some of the tension.

Those disagreements about how to count the votes always generate distrust and lengthen the whole process. Here in Venezuela we have also had our fair share of discussions in assemblies and meetings. In the end, the important thing is that we were able to elect the permanent president and approve the list of electors, even if it took longer than expected.
