Well. 290 HBD per day might be a lot.
But why are we lot calculating the effort and time? Like, HW's website where everybody can report users and the guy behind HW have to go through the reports/accounts manual to check. It takes a lot of time and he gets a lot of backlash. Not to mention the cost of the website (might not be expensive, but still a cost) and if the bot (spaminator) is running on an online server that also cost money.

I think the biggest issue I have with HW, is that some of the HBD is not powered up to further the DV $$$ & The HP could be automatically voting for burning hive posts which still gives curations rewards..

Back the to funding. $290 USD a Day is a lot. But after expenses, what would the proper amount be for someone doing this?

Servercosts are 100$ max.- per month, not per day. So this it can´t be it. And the website looks crappy and homecooked, so no costs here either.
8700$/month tax-free could be one or more qualified full-time employees, depending where they live. Question is really if 100% of a persons work goes into it, I highly doubt it. And even if, the second question is still, if so much money should go there and no e.g. only 25%, to only deal about real spam and ignore all the questionable cases which HW loves to take care about, to the detriment of many ex-users.

I did look into a Cloud Server & Website and no, its not that much :D
Time & Effort, thats hard to measure or at least the value of it.

And the main issue I have, is that not more is Powered Up, to continue to get "bigger" downvotes down the line :)

Yes, that adds to the dubiousness of this proposal, it basically drains the money out of Hive because the HW don´t build, but most likely sell off.

As stayoutoftherz said, 100$/Month should be more than enough.

For me, it's like opening the window in winter and turning the heating up to the highest setting.

A lot more money is wasted here than is gained, and the people who voted also suffer damage, which is probably not taken into consideration. It's not just about the person who created the post.

Anyone who understands the complex hive system will understand what this leads to and also what I posted today.

With the money already received, you could have made yourself independent of the proposal. The HBD that will be spent for a year would be long enough for me to be able to run something like this permanently.

Ecency and co have volunteers, why not HW?

100$ a month is not enough.
As I also wrote, time & effort goes into this. From what I know, HW goes through all of the users reported & the posts submitted. We have no idea the scale of that daily. But that takes a lot of time and even if HW isn't as due diligence as we would like, its still time out of someone say.
Whether they have a full time job or not on the side.

Doing this or stuff like this, on the scale HW is already doing or above should be giving a living wage + the cost of the server and whatever else is needed.

It doesn't fit that it is said that the pool is milked with the lottery, but here over 100k HBD per year are pulled out. It is out of proportion.

It would be like the state hiring tax collectors for 1 billion who end up collecting 100 million. Makes no sense at all.

And take a look at the two links in my post yesterday. I'm not sure about one of them yet, but the other one, if you think about it, is not right at all and not in the interests of the community. And also copy past or recycling, which would be worth a downvote!

And what is not taken into consideration is that downvoting posts, like kryptodenno's, also harms those who love to see his posts and therefore participate and vote voluntarily.

I don't know who, when and where decided that this type of post is not ok. Apparently a lot of people want it though and you can see from the clear vote result of almost 100% so far that HW is not doing a good job.

Yes, properly 100$ would be enough for servers.
Alternative it can properly be runned via a witness server and then you just pay a fee for the server use.

I dont know about the Kryptodenno thing. As I have also said, HW isn't perfect but we lack an alternative xD

I don't think it harms the people wanted to see his posts. Because I can shitpost all I want and someone can claim they want to see shitposts, doesn't mean I should get paid for it x)

And who decides what posts to get downvoted? Well, the people who do the downvoting is deciding that.
The issue is HW getting funded, if it was just a big account downvoting Kryptodenno, they could do it simple because they didn't like his posts.
