Risks of a diabetic

People with diabetes are at a much higher risk of developing various health complications. For instance, they are 25 times more likely to develop blindness compared to non-diabetic individuals. To minimize this risk, it's important to carefully control blood sugar levels. This can be achieved through a combination of lifestyle changes, regular physical activity, and medications. In addition to the increased risk of blindness, diabetics also face a 20 times higher risk of lower limb amputation, a 6 times higher risk of stroke, a 5 times higher risk of kidney damage, and a 2-3 times higher risk of heart attack.
