Hello everyone. I am taking part in @mypathtofire Ecency Discord Topic Competition and @liquidocelotytt told me about it. Thank you. Join the competition here.
I took this picture myself
I have tried to be environmentally conscious for many years. I started in 2007 when I joined an eco-friendly wellness club that made more concentrated products with smaller plastic containers. The company didn't use harsh and/or toxic ingredients in any of their products. This was good for me because my eyes and sinuses had become very sensitive to harsh and toxic fumes. My skin itched and became very irritated if anything harsh or toxic was in lotion and makeup. The wellness products were also safer for my pet birds that I had until 2021. I was and still am very conscious about what I put down my drain. It has been important to me since 2007. What ever you put down the drain goes out into the waterways where wildlife live, to the streams, rivers, lakes, and oceans.
I always recycle my garbage like the plastic, cardboard, glass, batteries, and the technology products must also be recycled. Contact your local town and city for recycle locations for hazardous materials like batteries and technology products to recycle.
Recycle your clothes too! Don't throw them away. Give them to the Goodwill or you can even sell used clothes on Poshmark.
The Plastic garbage in the ocean is overwhelmingly too much. We as humans need to do our part to stop this.
There are some huge garbage patches Great Pacific Garbage Patch in the ocean that are of immense sizes. They are stuck in vortexes in the ocean. There are 3 or more of these garbage patches floating around the oceans, killing much of the marine life living in the sea, and killing many of the marine bird life as well. The animals mistakenly eat the plastic for food and birds feed plastic to their babies.
These huge vortexes of garbage need to stop and be cleaned up. We must do our part to take care of the earth and the planet. We need to respect our world.
Ever little bit that each of us can do to help our world will have a huge Positive impact on the oceans and the land around the world.
I use a tote bag and my backpack every time I grocery shop to stop from buying a plastic bag at the grocery store and drug store.
I also have a Brita water filter pitcher that I keep in the refrigerator and use to fill my stainless steel water bottles.
