Looking at the situation of our country even when I am traveling on the highway I am always prepared. This is just the truth. Gone are those days when we see only old people die at a good old age. But today we see it happen every where that a young and vibrant person will just fall and die. Some are even killed on the highway by kidnappers. So, what else should one be expecting? Just get ready for anything. Anything can be anything. No need to be afraid if death any more because it is a way that every one must follow.
Last year ending we lost a very close friend to kidnappers. He just went to Lafia the capital of Nasarawa state as usual to buy goods that he will come yo sell in his shop. This journey did not take up to one hour and all that we heard at the end was that he was kidnapped. One of the victims who managed to escape came and told his wife that her husband died on the way. The kidnappers usually lead their victims to a very long journey that takes five to seven hours oh foot. This my close friend could not survive the long distance walk because he has been sick for years now and he was on medication as at then. When he finally collapse on the way and gave up the ghost, the kidnappers took his body and throu it into a big pit and that was all that we heard of him. We sent some men who knows the bush very well to go in search of his body after about four days so that at least he will be buried. They went and searched for days without any results. Till today his wife is still waiting or his return. She has been through alot since then hoping that one day she will wake up from this bad dream. Unfortunately this is reality and not a dream. But she refused to accept the truth. She has been to many prayer houses who told her that her husband is not dead. So she is still hopeful.
Live is very sweet and no one wants to die. But we still live with that in mind. Knowing that our lives belongs to God and he can come for it any say. I have decided to live for the truth. If that is the only thing I will keep doing, I will be glad that I did the right thing. Kidnappers on tnw road just kidnap randomly. But for those ones that come to someone's house have a target. They don't just kidnap at random. If God permit me to meet with people like that all that I know that will keep coming out of my mouth is the gospel. The gospel that Jesus can save even a kidnapper. Jesus is the only way. Come to him and be saved. I will just be repeating these words believing that God can use it to set me free. For the Holy book says that if we know the truth it will set us free.
I have heard of people who surrendered that guns because they heard the gospel at the very place where they went to robe people. That gospel is still very strong and can still save.
