Truly, the gospel still saves. A man of God once told us about his experience. An hired assassin was sent to kill him in his house. This man was coordinating a service when he was told someone wanted to see him.

Immediately, he left to meet the man at his house only to realize the man was holding a gun to kill him. The man dropped the gun in repentance.

So, I do believe the gospel can save.
