Android Auto
How good is a live map that shows you where you are and then tells you where to go correctly, most of the time. I even get a laugh when they change a few roads for repairs or upgrades, and it gets totally confused. Either way It is still a lot easier than trying to memorize a map and follow street signs.
It can even answer the phone, and you can catch up with family and friends on your daily commute or driving holiday.
Most of the time, you just plug it in, press a couple of buttons, and it just works until it doesn’t.
I reckon I lost a lot of steps today just trying to work out what had happened to ours.
Usually, we just plug one of our phones in with the Usb straight into the Sony display, and we are away, but all of a sudden, we could answer calls on the display, but nobody could hear us.
Straight away, I get worried about the car, the Sony headset, and my phone are all getting old and out of date. Everything needs replacing so fast nowadays.
After going into fault finding mode, swapping leads, phones, checking settings, and googling possible issues. I have come to the conclusion that Android Auto must have done some sort of update and changed things.
The only way I could get everything to work was to connect the phone to the Sony headset by bluetooth and by the usb at the same time to the head set to get the google Maps to work.
I just don't remember it being this way when I first set it up.
Anyway, with everything working again, I could carry on with some other activities that got me a better count total.
