My smartphone is still crashing, I have factory reset it, but that doesn't seem to have fixed the problem it is having that is preventing it from connecting to the internet, but another idea came to my mind and I will try something else tomorrow to see if it fixes it.
When reviewing today's list of ephemeris, among the different things in #History for today, one that has to do with the cultivation of a type of plant that is quite exotic for me, as an inhabitant of #Venezuela, caught my attention. It is about celebrating World Bonsai Day today, a date to highlight the cultural importance of this type of vegetable cultivation work, which is halfway between the artistic intervention of a plant, Japanese ritualism and a bit of the sense of contemplative spirituality of the Shinto traditions.

Es la noche del sábado, llueve con algo de fuerza, no llega a ser tormenta, pero ya la electricidad falló por un rato y acaba de regresar, recordé que no había publicado y estoy corriendo en el teclado para poder publicar antes de que la electricidad falle de nuevo. Supongo que tendré que ser breve, pasemos a decir que en asuntos de mi vida personal hay poco para contar, ha sido un día tranquilo en cierta medida, al menos me lo estoy tomando con calma. Mi teléfono celular sigue con fallas, lo reinicié a condición de fábrica, pero eso no parece haber arreglado el problema que tiene que le impide conectarse a internet, pero se me ocurrió otra idea y mañana trataré de probar otra cosa a ver si lo arreglo.

La elección que hago se basa en que, si bien no tengo relación personal directo con el cultivo de #bonsai, mi hermana más cercana estudió (durante un cierto tiempo) el idioma japonés en la Embajada de Japón, lo que la llevó luego a estudiar un poco de la cocina, luego la caligrafía, el Taichí, y así se paseó durante su tiempo de estudio en la embajada por diferentes aspectos de la cultura de ese país.
A mi hermana le atraía desde joven la cultura asiática, así que no nos resultaba tan raro, ya ella era en ese momento estudiante universitaria y cursaba en la carrera de Estudios Internacionales, que es la carrera base para ejercer como funcionario exterior del gobierno, ya sea en una embajada o en un consulado, así que pensamos que eso le serviría para su carrera en el futuro.

En realidad, mi hermana se graduó y trabajó por varios años en la cancillería y el Ministerio de Exterior de Venezuela, pero en la mayor parte de su carrera, no le dieron salida fuera del país y sus estudios de #cultura y #arte oriental, especialmente japonés, no fueron aprovechados. Eso fue una pena, pero ella lo disfrutó en su momento mientras estudiaba y siempre he creído que no hay ningún aprendizaje que sea inútil.
Aún recuerdo cuando la acompañé por primera vez a la exposición anual de la Embajada y estaba ella mostrándome los bonsáis y las caligrafías en las que había participado, ella estaba radiante, y eso era suficiente para mí. En serio que noto que estoy en estilo de ‘hombre viejo’ (risa personal), pues estoy recordando con mucha nostalgia algo que pasó hace décadas.
