A beautiful place remains beautiful in any weather. Do you agree?
Today I continue showing you my photo story from my first day in Split. The first part of September is still warm, even hot like summer. No rain can spoil my mood. It's just rain!
We walked on the edge of Old Town Split (here when I say Old I mean it's really old, built in 300th AD) and returned to the sea. The white limestone looked even more clean and white after the rain.
My hubby is watching the clouds... I remember how happy I was for him that he could make it to travel with me and my daughter. In fact, I know what he is thinking about. Mountains. I looked in the direction of the distant mountains and...!
The mountain range behind the city became a natural obstacle to the low clouds. Mesmerized by their beauty, I wasn't photographing the architecture or palm trees but shaggy clouds climbing over the mountaintops.
These clouds are like a liquid fog that flows from the top of the mountains down to the bay, trying to envelop, embrace the valley, and then the city.
Night falls, the street lights come on one after the other, lengthening the shadows.
The horizon in the south has almost cleared, highlighting the mountain silhouettes. You have noticed that the sea and the mountains are a perfect pair that complement and emphasize each other. There is no better artist in the world than Mother Nature.
Promenade is a perfect place for a long pause. To be silent and listen to yourself, looking at the last reflected rays of the sun.
Boats and yachts return to their home port. It's time for us to go home tomorrow too.
