A cordial greeting to all musicians and fans of the art of combining sounds. I hope you are well and I wish with all my heart that all the good things you propose turn out excellent. I am pleased to share my trumpet performance of "Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel)", a moving and beautiful song by Billy Joel, released in 1994 as part of his album "River of Dreams". The song was written for Joel's daughter, Alexa Ray, when she was seven years old. He was inspired by a question her daughter asked him: "What happens when you die?" The song is an answer to this question, and He assures her daughter that his love for her will last forever. I love her message that mixes feelings of love, loss and hope. It is a reminder that a father's love for his child is unconditional and eternal. I agree with these sentiments, in my personal belief I consider that family relationships are perpetuated beyond the grave. Life would be very unfair if the love and connection we achieved in this life were lost.

A dimension that is important to cultivate as musicians is the spiritual dimension. Music has incredible spiritual power and connects us to something bigger than ourselves. For me, music is the most powerful language of communication in the world and the closest thing to the language of God. It elevates us, transforms us and inspires us. Without a doubt, it is a source of creativity, of connection with the spiritual, with the universe and with life. Sacred music is an elevated form of prayer, in which we can be grateful, invoke heavenly powers and favors, and also strengthen our relationship with Divinity. Also being in contact with nature feeds that spiritual aspect. Musicians who are empathetic and spiritual can use their music to promote understanding, compassion, and peace.

Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel)
Goodnight, my angel
Time to close your eyes
And save these questions for another day
I think I know what
You've been asking me
I think you know
What I've been trying to say
I promised I would never leave you
And you should always know
Wherever you may go
No matter where you are
I never will be far away
Goodnight, my angel
Now it's time to sleep
And still so many things I want to say
Remember all the songs
You sang for me
When we went sailing
On an emerald bay
And like a boat out on the ocean
I'm rocking you to sleep
The water's dark
And deep inside this ancient heart
You'll always be a part of me
Goodnight, my angel
Now it's time to dream
And dream how wonderful
Your life will be
Someday your child may cry
And if you sing this lullaby
Then in your heart
There will always be a part of me
Someday we'll all be gone
But lullabies go on and on
They never die
That's how you
And I will be
