Good Evening Alive Tribe and Hive friends!
Happy Sunday! I'm happy to say I was able to go to church this morning and enjoyed Sunday School and morning worship.
Unfortunately, migraine came back to roost, making church uncomfortable. I was able to listen to the preaching, and take part in singing and worship. The peace I experience by fellowshipping with my friends and singing the songs of my faith overrules the migraine discomfort in the end.
Dinner was simple. Jeff stopped at the bulk food store where you can purchase food for restaurants or events to pick up cabbage rolls. He left to take a flight in the Piper and I sat and watched reruns of a show called Outlander. I read the books in the series a few years back, and previously I watched this series when Jeff bought Starz TV for me just to finish it.
The story is a bit unorthodox. A married woman from 1945 named Claire Beauchamp crosses from a stone henge Craigh na Dun in Inverness, Scotland to the year 1743 to be face to face with her husband's ancestor Black Jack Randall who thinks she's a prostitute because of her modern clothing. She meets and eventually falls in love with a Scot named Jamie. She marries him and is torn between loving him and her relationship with her husband Frank she left behind. She crosses back and forth between times through these same stones during critical periods of history and crisis.
I can't remember if I watched the entire series despite Jeff's buying me access, but I remember previously seeing the two episodes that I watched today. I love the period clothing and architecture in this time frame.
The migraine has receded at last, just in time for bed. Before I know it, it will be Monday, and back to the grind.
I have something good to look forward to. I am flying to visit my son in Florida on the eighteenth of this month. I look forward to the warmth and sun. Pennsylvania is short on both of these commodities.
