L’air du matin était frais, chargé de l’effervescence habituelle du quartier des affaires. L’homme invisible s’installa à sa table habituelle au café, le même endroit qu’il fréquentait depuis des années. Le bruit des conversations, le tintement des tasses, et le froissement des journaux formaient une toile de fond familière, presque apaisante.
Il ajusta son manteau, toujours impeccable, et ouvrit son journal, un exemplaire ordinaire du quotidien local. Les manchettes parlaient de marchés financiers, de nouvelles technologies, et de scandales politiques, mais rien ne faisait allusion à Nyx ou à Victor Alemand. L’histoire, comme tant d’autres avant elle, avait été effacée, enveloppée dans les ombres de la discrétion.
Il plia une page, découvrant une petite note griffonnée sur le bord. Une écriture fine, soignée, qu’il reconnaîtrait entre mille.
Lys : "Même les ténèbres les plus profondes peuvent être vaincues. À la prochaine, compagnon."
Un sourire imperceptible effleura ses lèvres. Lys avait tenu parole, comme toujours. Son réseau avait fait le nécessaire pour s’assurer que Nyx ne reviendrait pas, du moins pas sous les mains de Victor Alemand. Pourtant, il savait que ce n’était qu’un répit. Le monde des affaires et des secrets ne dormait jamais.
Il tourna la page. Entre deux articles anodins, une image attira son attention : une réunion de dirigeants à Genève, une rencontre de façade pour discuter d’énergie durable. Parmi eux, un visage familier : Alemand, souriant comme si rien ne s’était passé.
L’homme invisible referma lentement le journal. Les apparences étaient trompeuses, mais il savait mieux que quiconque que certaines batailles se gagnaient dans le silence, loin des projecteurs. Alemand, malgré son échec, n’avait pas disparu. Mais aujourd’hui, ce n’était pas son combat.
Il glissa le journal dans sa mallette, prenant une gorgée de son café, savourant ce bref moment de tranquillité. Autour de lui, le monde semblait fonctionner comme à son habitude, les passants pressés, les téléphones sonnant, les secrets murmurés dans l’agitation quotidienne.
Un homme en costume sombre passa à sa hauteur, déposant un papier discret sur sa table avant de continuer sa route sans un regard. L’homme invisible déplia la note. Un simple mot était inscrit, mais il suffisait :
"Minuit."
Il reposa la note, laissant son esprit analyser les implications. Les secrets continuaient de tourner, et il était là, en silence, prêt à les déchiffrer.
Il acheva son café, se leva, et quitta le café sans un bruit, disparaissant dans la foule. Pour le reste du monde, il n’était qu’une ombre parmi d’autres. Mais pour ceux qui savaient où chercher, il était l’homme invisible, le gardien des vérités cachées.
Et, quelque part, un nouveau secret attendait d’être découvert.

Final Chapter: The Circle of Secrets
The morning air was crisp, filled with the usual hustle and bustle of the business district. The Invisible Man settled at his usual table in the café, the same spot he had frequented for years. The hum of conversations, the clinking of cups, and the rustle of newspapers formed a familiar, almost soothing backdrop.
Adjusting his impeccably tailored coat, he opened his newspaper, an ordinary copy of the local daily. Headlines spoke of financial markets, emerging technologies, and political scandals, but there was no mention of Nyx or Victor Alemand. The story, like so many before it, had been erased, shrouded in the shadows of discretion.
He folded a page, revealing a small note scrawled along the margin. The handwriting was fine and meticulous—impossible for him to mistake.
Lys: "Even the deepest darkness can be overcome. Until next time, companion."
A barely perceptible smile crossed his lips. Lys had kept her word, as always. Her network had done what was necessary to ensure Nyx would not resurface—at least, not in Victor Alemand’s hands. Yet he knew this was only a respite. The world of business and secrets never truly slept.
Turning the page, an image between two innocuous articles caught his eye: a gathering of leaders in Geneva, a façade of a meeting to discuss sustainable energy. Among them was a familiar face—Alemand, smiling as if nothing had happened.
The Invisible Man slowly closed the newspaper. Appearances could be deceiving, but he knew better than anyone that some battles were won in silence, far from the spotlight. Alemand, despite his failure, had not vanished. But today was not his fight.
He slid the paper into his briefcase and took a sip of his coffee, savoring the brief moment of peace. Around him, the world carried on as usual—hurried passersby, ringing phones, whispered secrets woven into the rhythm of daily life.
A man in a dark suit walked past his table, discreetly dropping a slip of paper before continuing without so much as a glance. The Invisible Man unfolded the note. One word was written, but it was enough:
“Midnight.”
He placed the note down, his mind already analyzing its implications. The secrets kept turning, and he remained, silent and ready to decode them.
Finishing his coffee, he rose and left the café without a sound, vanishing into the crowd. To the rest of the world, he was just another shadow. But for those who knew where to look, he was the Invisible Man—the guardian of hidden truths.
And somewhere, a new secret awaited discovery.
