In the place where I work, there are lots of options that I can choose on what gifts should I buy to my family and I usually buy food for gifts or what we called "pasalubong" in a Filipino word.
Most of the time, whenever I will go home and if I have extra money when going home, I would buy those extra money that I've got for my family like food because it's a great feeling that I bring some pasalubong for them to eat after I got home.
Although, there are times that I don't have any extra money but I want to buy pasalubong for them and I ended on not buying it because my money is not enough to buy it. Thankfully, my family is understanding that there are times that I didn't bring them pasalubong and sometimes, I offer on buying some snacks like bread in our place. They will be happy for that small things that I bought for them and it's like I got them pasalubong but I buy it in our house instead.
This time, because I have extra money, I went to this store that is called mister donut. My family also loves donut and I think this is a good pasalubong for them.
The place is not that really busy because they sell at the entrance of one of the famous grocery store here in town and they are selling in a stall. So, only a few of the donuts that they only sell.
There are different variants of donuts that we can choose to. Some have chocolates, there are some that has bavarian filling. Well, the sweetness of the chocolate is really good because it is not too sweet and not the usual donut that I usually bought in dunkin' donuts store.
One of my favorite donut that I like here is the donut with chocolate, marshmallow, and peanuts on top of it with fillings inside it. Well, considering the price, I think it's more cheaper than other donuts.
I thought that If I will buy a dozen in a box, I can get some discounts since I bought it in a box or by dozen but they didn't, they said that only the box is free and the price for the donuts when buying it is still the original price per piece.
Bringing this donuts can give happiness to my family and they can also experience eating these kinds of donuts because these donuts are expensive when buying in a 7/11 store and it's more expensive.
I traveled for more than an hour before I got to home and they were excited to eat my pasalubong for them especially my daughter who is always looking forward on looking for me.
