Get Up And Put Your Brain To Work

Do you ever get the feeling that you are wasting your time in bed and share your time on social media feeds or watching TV series? Fittingly, there are moments that one feels lazy or passive, but the fact is if you don’t start making efforts and use your brain, you are bound to be stagnant and perhaps go nowhere.

The words ‘if you continue laying on your bed, grass will grow on your belly’ is an example of an idiom which may be considered as ridiculous in reality, is actually a popular saying for encouraging people to get active. Seems like a garden that has been left abandoned if you do not go out there and begin to activate your brain to think and act then you become a dead bunch.

You are a garden, if you do not sow seeds, water the ground and cultivate the growing plants, then, over time the weeds will choke the garden and transform a beautiful garden into a wild and unkempt jungle. The same idea holds true for your mind and body. If you don’t use your brain, you lose it and that is like saying if you don’t engage in learning, being creative, solving problems, you are useless.

Therefore, how do you make it happen from this avoidable inertia and begin the processing of information for which your brain was designed? Here are a few simple steps to get you started:

Set goals: Spend some time before deciding on the goals that you want to accomplish in the short term and long term goals.having tangible targets that are mission and measurable in nature will create direction for you and enable you to act purposefully.

Challenge yourself: Remember that it is okay to get out your comfort zone every once in a while and do something new. Reading a new book, or mastering a new ability, taking up a new craft, or just doing a tremendous, complicated puzzle will force your brain into using more resources and keep you alert.

Stay curious: What are some of the values that you should develop in your life? It helps to read books, watch documentaries, or converse with people, make a meaningful discussion topics that will help to broaden the circle of knowledge. The exact opposite of this is the truth, the more knowledge and information absorbed, and the more activity receive, the more alive and windows your brain will become.

Take care of your body: If you have a physical illness, it can affect your mental illness and vice versa, so be certain to take care of yourself by regularly exercising, eating correctly, and getting enough sleep. Physical well-being enables you to resist fatigue and concentration, enabling you to meet difficulties and obstacles squarely.

Note, you are free to make your own choices and get the life you have always wanted. Don’t remain a steer get up, pull your head and watch your potential turn into something big. It’s about being less of a garden and more of a blooming garden full of life, passion, ideas and innovation.
