Well, it also depends on whether they're using someone else's computer, and for how long they've been using it. 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

I think the same habit of deleting browser history should apply whether the person is using their or someone else's device. πŸ€”πŸ€―

On Brave Browser, the person can choose to delete history for 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, or 1 decade (or technically all history), so if the user wants to delete browsing data within the past 2 hours, then either they select "1 day" (which will also clear other data) or manually delete every visited site and their corresponding cookies. πŸ€―πŸ˜…

Yes, it's helpful, especially when login credentials were used.

That's a useful feature. I'm sure Vivaldi has something like that too, though I haven't had a need to use it yet, since I'm usually the only one using my devices. 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

It depends on how important the account is when determining how often to clear saved login credentials. πŸ€“

What I wanted to say on my previous comment was that web browsers should allow the user to choose a specific length of time (precise down to the last minute) how much of the browsing history will be deleted. πŸ€―πŸ˜…

Yes, true, though there aren't many accounts that people would be OK with losing I'd say.

Yes, high granularity would be very useful indeed. I agree. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

I think that the phrase "losing an account" has (at least) two meanings - one is forgetting the password (and/or username), and the other is having unauthorized access to the account. πŸ€”πŸ€―

The default settings should still be easy to use, since I assume that more than 90% of web browser users would not need such fine control (and might even be confused with it). πŸ€―πŸ€“

Yep, that's true, I've heard it used in both ways.

Any default settings should be easy to use, I agree. That's why I love Vivaldi, because you can use it with simple, basic settings, or go deep into fine tuning it's multitudinous setting if you're so inclined. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™
