A private browsing window on conventional web browsers simply deletes any data that may have been accumulated during the private browsing session (except bookmarks and downloads), though by default does not prevent the user from accessing the history (except cookies) of a normal (non-private browsing) window. π€―π

(Accidentally) using a private browsing window for your usual tasks will prevent your browser from saving anything from your browsing session (apart from downloads and bookmarks), so not being able to go back to your visited links and logins later on can be inconvenient indeed. π€π€―π
