As usual, I had never heard of this day before your post...🤣 The variation in food plants, including carrots, has always deeply fascinated me, and I've seen and eaten quite a few different colors of carrots, but I'd never heard about that yellow-and-purple ancestral carrot. Very interesting, too, how the now-common orange carrot originated. I've seen many things come about because of something like that.
