Haha...this may be somewhat long. Like most things labeled as 'green' or 'sustainable', the reality is actually quite different. Let's go down a list of issues with them.
1.) It takes more energy to produce them than they generate in their entire lifespan.
2.) Speaking of their lifespan, it's quite short, especially for the blades. When they no longer function, they are sent to windmill graveyards, filled with innumerable of them.
- They are quite fragile, and are very often destroyed by high winds. Imagine that, a windmill breaking in the wind...lol.
4.) They produce an ultra-low frequency that often makes people that live near the sick. Those same frequencies also have a deliterious effect oh wildlife, especially birds.
5.) On the subject of birds, they kill lots of them, the most notable being large predatory birds like eagles and hawks. They get whacked by the blades, and plumet to earth.
Those are the ones that came to my mind at the moment. So many 'green-energy technologies' are not at all effective in the way that they are implemented. Small scale works pretty well with things like solar and windmills, but every large-scale implementation, sooner or later, is a disaster. The words 'sustainable' and 'green' are more of the pretty-and-flowery ones used to push dark agendas forward. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
