I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 5 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
Living here at GaiaYoga Gardens has always been equal parts gratitude for how and where I am able to live, and 'what the absolute fuck?!?'. It has been an experience of intense and ridiculous contrasts for most of my time here, with challenges a plenty. I've stayed here for so long because, despite the challenges, I've been able to live as I want, on my own terms, with greater self-determination and sovereignty, than anywhere else I've ever lived. I'm able to live naked, deep in nature, off-grid, mostly outside the system, while being able to work with sovereignty-driven technologies like (Arch) Linux, Hive, Qortal, among others, work with women in my deep, integral energy-body-tantric work sessions, work with my beloved plants (though I need time to put a lot more focus here, because things are pretty much a disaster at the moment), make my healing elixirs and medicinal teas, along with a other wonderful things, which are all very important to me indeed.
So many incredible opportunities and possibilities have been coming into my life as of late, both on and off Hive, that I have a lot of excitement building. These experiences, however, contrast sharply with the areas of my life, and of GaiaYoga, that don't work so well. It feels like the more beautiful things that I allow into my life, it makes the painful things that don't flow well, stand out all the more glaringly. So it basically feels like a schizophrenic schism of worlds, on a daily basis.
I'm durable and tenacious, so I go into each day, doing my best to meet the challenges that appear, and to flow with them, and with my daily tasks, as easefully and gracefully as I'm able. The life that I've carved out here is my own, and while it is not ideal in many respects, it works for me, and I am very grateful.
Everything on Hive is going exceedingly well, and seemingly better all the time, not only with the building and growing of my own account, but also now with the We Are Alive Tribe and the MMB Project as well. Sessions have been flowing unabated, with me giving one or two per week (I have one today, and another Monday), and more women wanting to work with me all the time. The appreciation, gratitude, and respect from people for who I am, and what I do, appears to be going to new levels, much to my joy and astonishment. I haven't had as much time to work with either my plants and the gardens, or with Arch Linux, which I intend to rectify in the coming weeks. I will make time for the important things.
On the topic of Arch Linux, I mentioned a few days ago that my laptop has become unbootable, and across two hard drives (each with their own installation of Arch), due to a few issues coinciding, with everything that always worked before, not working this time. Yesterday, out of the blue, an idea to fix my laptop's boot issue popped into my mind, and much to my deep satisfaction, when I tried it, my computer booted again! I definitely had a good feeling of accomplishment in solving this frustrating problem, but as I say, when something is important, I will always find a way! Now that I know how to fix it in one Arch installation, I can resolve it in the other one as well, which is very good news indeed!
Yesterday, Wednesday, I left the Flow House, after finishing my Hive tasks, a little after 2:30PM, giving my attention first to some photography for these posts, and for my entry in the Shadow Hunters Contest. When I was reasonably satisfied with the shots that I had taken, I went to the Landing to strain and blend kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao), then after a short break up at the Flow House for some quick token management, I got my machete and collected a wheelbarrow full of assorted edible foliage for cow-milking food. With cow food done, I stopped by the Landing again, to pick up my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, and I made my way back to the Flow House, to make another (finally successful) attempt at fixing my computer's boot issue, to get into my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. Although I had a lot, I was finally able to get through them all, super thankfully, by around 12AM, and after some token management (for me and for the Alive Tribe), I went to bed around 12:30AM. I woke up just after 7:15AM, still feeling that I needed more sleep, doing more token management, starting on this post, then getting out of bed around 8:45AM to go make my superfood fire coffee, and to milk Daisy with Jo. Once milking was done, I returned to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 12:30PM, so a great time to end this post, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before preparing for my session with Riana at 1:30PM. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until my entry for the Shadow Hunters Contest later this evening, and the next incarnation of this post tomorrow! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
