Brooding is one of the fundamental when it's comes raising birds after hatchery. Many people have stay away from raising birds due to difficulty they face during the earlier stage of the birds.

When it's comes to brooding, knowing what to do at the right time can safeguard you as a new farmer from incurring any loss at early stage and below are some of the tips to adopt to ensure your birds survive brooding stage..

When it's comes to raising birds even a little things can play a great effects for a long time and that's the reason why you shouldn't left any stone unturned when it's comes to poultry farming.

Give The Birds Full Attention And Proper Care

Giving the birds a full attention upon arriving to your pen to see their state of stress is very crucial. Since those chicks travelled a long distance to get to you then they must have been weak and have abnormal body temperature due to the stress they went through. The more stressed they must have went through then the more care and attention you need to give them.

Add Glucose To Their Water

The next thing you must do is to add glucose to their drinking water and that's should be the first water they will be drinking upon arriving at your pen to help them recover their lost energy. One heaped full tablespoon per a litre of water is enough.

Teach Birds How To Drink

nother thing you should do is to dip your bird's beak in to the water to teach them how to drink. Immediately you did this to few of them then other birds will learn gradually.

Provide The Birds With Quality Feed

While feeding is very crucial to attain quick and maximum growth in poultry farming. Make sure to provide food to the birds and start to eat within first hour of providing them with water.

Pay Close Attention To Your Bird's Reaction To heat

*While providing the birds with heat source during brooding is very important, paying close attention to their reaction to heat is very important and if extra heating is unnecessary due to the weather condition then make sure to remove the heat source.

Check On The Birds Time To Time

*Ensure to check on the birds every 30min to 1hour to know if they are all doing well and if you notice any one among the birds lagging behind then assist those in need of help to get access to eat and drink.
