Festive foodie greetings!

Hello Hello to all you wonderful Hivians and especially Silver Bloggers

First things first, if you celebrate Christmas then Merry Christmas to you!

I am all set, I realised that we had no Christmas Crackers left so this morning was a mad dash between supermarkets. Finally our local Tesco Express came up trumps!

We should have got some on Thursday when we were out and about.

Most of the Christmas shopping was done on Thursday after a festive lunch.

I was dying for a Christmas pint, so we compromised and dived into the local Spoons for lunch and noticed there was a Christmas menu.

I don't usually shill Wetherspoons but the two dishes we had were outrageously tasted for pub food and including a strong pint of lager were a steal at £11.67 each

Brie & Bacon burger.

2 3oz beef patties, Brie, maple cured bacon, cranberry sauce topped with 2 pigs in blankets and chips.

Just look at the way the brie melted....

Chicken & Stuffing burger

Grilled chicken breast, maple cured bacon, pork apricot and cranberry stuffing, cranberry sauce topped with 2 pigs in blankets and chips.

The cranberry sauce was fluffing tasty as well and I did love the whole cranberries in it!

The stuffing though, that was delicious!

We tried to go halfers and have half of each burger!

I am partial to a Stella and Leffe and as it does not matter what drink you have it is the same price, that was the two drinks for the two meals. Coffee for Mrs T was extra.

To top it off we had the sticky toffee pudding!

The Christmas menu runs until December 31st and Mrs T loved it so much she wants to go back after Christmas!

That was that and I have to say that is was a worthwhile visit!

We did manage to get all the Christmas shopping done as well, and today Mrs T took great delight in saying she told me to get Chrstmas crackers when we were out and about but stubborn me said oh fluff it we will get them later!

Was tempted to get some things I saw

This made me thing of all the @dreemport dreemers and their recent task

And then above all everyone ....

Wow look at those burgers! This reminds me of what I've been missing out on lately. LOL! When I get the chance, I will surely treat myself to something delightful. Thank you for sharing these sumptuous treats. Have a blessed Christmas filled with love, peace and joy.

Yumm that sticky toffee pudding stopped me dead in my tracks, it looks sooo good. I will never say no to most desserts!
It's high time I made chicken stuffing again, that burger would have been my first choice for sure.

Everything looks tasty delicious to wash down with an ale, then before facing the cold air, sticky toffee pudding with ice-cream, well that tops it all off!
