RE: #MyLeoGoals - We're Off & Running!

Hi, thank you for an interesting thought provoking post !

After reading, I have a few questions, if I may be as bold as to press a little upon your time to educate a noob :-)

You mention that your are delegating HP to @leo.voter , this is generating you 100Leo a day, may I ask how much HP you delegate to generate this ?, I can experiment ofc and delegate 10HP and see what comes back, but I'd like to compare this to other passive earning streams, and I'll confess to being a little lazy.

Looking at the token info on Hive Engine, it says that staking is available, what is the benefit of staking Leo ?

And lastly, my final question, ( for now :-) ), you mention curation earnings. And here I really show how little I know, but what exactly do you mean by curation rewards, what exactly do you do when you "curate" ?, I understand the word in the general meaning of organising a collection of content/art for others to enjoy, but how do you actually do that on Hive (and involving Leo).

I'm trying to piece together information on Hive from various sources, I've come a good way since I got interested in Hive, but I've a lot to learn.

I met Hive via Splinterlands in late 2021, and I'll admit , largely ignored it, however since discovering the @holozing project, my interest has blossomed and I'm beginning to realise how much there is to learn.

I'm not a digital native, neither am I a millennial ( my kids are. .lol!), so there is probably some very very basic questions I have yet to wrap my noggin around, but I'm getting there, one question and one patient Hiver at a time.

Thanks for the questions...

I delegate a pretty healthy chunk to leo voter. 50,000 HP for the 100 plus LEO a day.

LEO staking works sort of like Hive staking. You earn from curation. So the more LEO you have staked, the more upvotes you give out and earn from curation.

Curation on Hive and LEO are essentially 'liking' other people's content. We receive an APR for distributing the tokens out to people in the form of voting. Which is called curation on chain.

Oh gosh, no worry about that. Age isn't anything but a number on chain!

Hope this helps.

Hey!, thanks for the swift reply, I really appreciate you taking the time., yes it is very helpful, I thought that curation was creating a post of links to other peoples content, kind of like an art gallery curator would collect art in one place.

That's a good chunk of HP you have delegated, I'm thinking about committing more to Hive, just not 100% certain yet, but it does seem like an actual, live, working, real world use blockchain. I'm surprised it is not bigger, especially seeing as it is "gasless" in effect

Nah, that's what I thought too when I first got started here. Thought it meant a collection of posts etc....Nope, just liking other people's stuff is considered curation.
