Today I'm going to talk to you about a person who revolutionized the way of making music, and to talk about him we're going to go back in time.,

His father was in charge of turning his childhood into a true hell but thanks to his incredible talent he became the king. Michael Jackson is one of the greatest music stars in history, thanks to his eccentric choreographies and his extraordinary voice. However, what seemed to be an enviable life and millions of dollars in his bank account was not easy for Michael to achieve since behind that unattainable man called by the entire world was hiding a shy and introverted human being with a shady past that haunted him for the rest of his days.

Michael was born on August 29, 1958 in Indiana, United States. He began his musical career with his brothers in the famous band the Jackson Five, but the beginning of his career was very hard, because his father forced him to work from the age of four. In several interviews, Michael declared that his father took away his childhood and forced him to become a star. One of the strongest revelations that Michael made was that his father mistreated him physically and psychologically, especially when he had rehearsals, since Mr. Joseph Jackson always had a belt in his hand to spank him when he made a mistake and even worse when he did not feel like rehearsing. However, what most traumatized the little Michael was the constant humiliation that his father made him for his appearance, where he criticized how ugly he was. Due to the acne he suffered from and the large size of his nose In fact, the King of Pop assured that his father even cut off his fat nose

People close to the singer assured that Michael always lived tormented by this nickname and that was why he began to undergo various nose operations as the years went by Michael stood out more than his brothers so he decided to start a solo career when he released his first studio album in 1972, he was already consolidated as a great child star however, his masterpiece was definitely Thriller from 1982. In fact, it is to date the best-selling album of all time with more than 65 million copies around the world and was the winner of 8 free awards at the same time that it consolidated Michael as a world icon

And since you know this, let's review the music career.

Off the Wall (1979)

  • This album marked the beginning of Jackson's solo career as an adult. With Off the Wall, Michael moves away from the youthful image of the Jackson 5 and collaborates with producer Quincy Jones. It is a mix of pop, disco, R&B and jazz, with funk influences, which captures the essence of the sound of the late 1970s.

Featured songs:

  • "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough"

  • "Rock with You"

Thriller (1982)

  • This album has all the records yet and if you didn't know it was the first to make a video clip. This album is a marvel, it mixes various styles of pop, rock, funk and R&B.

Featured songs:

  • "Thriller"

  • "Billie Jean"

  • "Beat It"

Bad (1987)

  • Bad was the first album that Michael Jackson produced largely by himself, although Quincy Jones also participated. It is notable for its more aggressive style and for exploring themes of rebellion and self-assertion. Here, Michael begins to experiment with a harder sound, including more rock elements and elaborate production. I also remember that a very well-known artist made a very funny video

Featured songs:

  • "Bad"

  • "Smooth Criminal"

  • "Man in the Mirror"

Dangerous (1991)

  • Dangerous was an experimental album in which Michael explored new trends, such as new jack swing, with the help of producer Teddy Riley.

Featured songs:

  • "Black or White"

  • "Remember the Time"

  • "Heal the World"

HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I (1995)

Featured songs:

  • "Scream"

  • "They Don’t Care About Us"

  • "Earth Song"

Invincible (2001)

  • This was Jackson's final studio album during his lifetime and marked a return to R&B and pop with a more contemporary approach. The album underwent a complicated production and received a mixed critical reception, although it contains some gems. For me this album is a marvel in every sense.

Featured songs:

  • "You Rock My World"

  • "Butterflies"

In an article in a prestigious music magazine, he said:

Michael Jackson was a transformative artist who revolutionized the industry with each album. His ability to cross genres, innovate in production and create unique visual experiences remains a reference in the music industry. Each of his albums reflects a different stage of his life and career, from the young man who wanted to make quality music to the global icon committed to social causes and facing personal challenges. His musical and cultural legacy endures, and his albums continue to be considered essential pieces of popular music.

I separate the singer from the person and I consider that as an artist he was number 1 in every sense, you just have to look at the legacy he left us.
