Celebrating birthdays 🥳 we can say calls for spending huge some of money because this might involve inviting friends, coworkers, extended families and even our neighbors. But as a minimalist, we do not have to go this far to celebrate our birthdays 🎉. As minimalists, we just have ways and styles to mark our birthdays making it a simple special day.
Giving presents during birthdays comes in different forms. Some presents 🎁 can be in physical while others can come in the form of kindness. I celebrate my birthday in a simple way mostly with family and my close friends by just having a get-together where we have just lunch prepared for this occasion, some drinks, snacks and finally cutting the cake 🍰 that will be shared to everyone. Its usually a fun loving day I look 👀 up to and always want to enjoy the day being in a good spirit. Although I do receive some present items from my family and friends, but what matters most to me is the time I share with my loved 🥰 ones on this special day. And some times when I don’t plan lunch for us, I will take my family out to the park and at the same time inviting my friends with their kids. We can decide to prepare a meal 🥘 to serve at the park, go for all time fast food or snacks to enjoy ourselves while marking my special day.
And to give present to my friends during their birthdays, I usually think of what in particular would that friend cherish. I don’t just go buying present to surprise my friends but will want to have an ideal what will benefit them. The last time one of my friends celebrated her birthday, I remembered she had complained of her oven being bad, so I and two other friends joined money to buy her a new oven which she appreciated a lot because she loves baking for her children.
And to my senior sister who celebrated her birthday this past January, I personally asked her what she will love ❤️ for her birthday present 🎁. “A simple dinner 🥘 and a movie 🎥 “ she said. She believes in keeping memories of things, especially of events. Giving presents of items are important just as showing other kindnesses that we keep as memory too.
