I believe Kroger is headquartered in Cincinnati. I live in Texas. I'm glad I could give you a taste of home again. :-)

Yes, it is the largest grocery store chain, and very popular in Texas. They're not in every state, though. Kroger does own some subsidiaries in other states.
Very true, we have a Fred Meyer chain in Washington State that is owned by Kroger๐
Along the east coast, in the south, Harris Teeter stores are everywhere. Also owned by Kroger.
