My Actifit Report Card: November 19 2024

in Actifit4 days ago

The image above is from inside of the Seattle library that I took on my walk last week.

Today, I am really feeling sore from the weight lifting workout I did on Sunday. I went seven to eight days without weight lifting, and I am sore. When I do weight lifting two to three times a day, I don't get sore.

Today, we have a windstorm warning, so I am not going to be going outside.

I drove our little one to school. Unfortunately, she came down with something, and I had to pick her up early.

So we will be hankering down for the evening, and hopefully, the electricity does not go out.

Sorry your little one is not well. Hopefully it's something she will get over quickly!

We are under the same wind advisory; it appears to be blowing out of the northeast for now. I'm not worried about the power simply because over the years, we've finally gotten a generator set up that works for everything including the well.

If you're in town, you should be fairly safe from debris. Where we live, we are in the forest and there's always a danger of falling trees. I try not to think about it. Fortunately as well, there are two very big semi old growth cedars that guard the house on the front and the back sides. Hopefully, should one of the other trees nearby fall, they will run interference. I've had a car hit with a falling fir tree in the past, so fingers crossed!

Take care and be safe! Excellent job with your 10553 @actifit steps for the day!

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, it is looking like a common cold. This is only the second this school year that I believe she had. She used to get a lot more of these in the lower grades.

Glad you two are safe from the falling trees. From what I read you are really well prepared for things like these in terms of power outages :) We just try to get lucky every time and while there was a lot of light flickering which knocked out our internet services a few times we never actually lost the power. Possibly because we are in a fairly new development which has all the power lines under ground.

I will pray for a speedy recovery! 🙏
Funny you should mention the utilities; when we lived in Colorado, ours was underground and we never lost power in the entire time we lived there!

We moved here where everything is above ground and it's just ridiculous! There are so many splices in the lines around here that they are more metal than regular wire! It's a wonder it even works at all!

I'm glad your family is safe. You are correct; we are prepared. There is nothing though to help the unsettledness that comes when knowing a tree just might not miss the house this time.

Take care and enjoy the upcoming weekend!

Thank you.

You are most welcome!

Let your body recover my friend, don't push yourself too hard!
Wind storm warning up here as well, batten down the hatches Lol!😀

Was thinking of another weight lifting workout, but settled for whole home vacuuming :)

All good @actifit steps my friend it keeps you healthy as well!👍😊

Wow it's great to see such a lovely library. It's one of my favorite hangout place back in my school days. This one looks awesome. Thank you for sharing lovely photos all around Seattle. Happy midweek!

Yes, this is an awesome library, they even have a large theater like room where we used to have all-staff meetings though I don't work at a library :)
