Hello, fellow Splinterlands warriors! With all the elements and mechanics that keep me coming back for more, I couldn't wait to share my latest experience in Splinterlands. This time, I faced a thrilling challenge with an intriguing ruleset that truly tested my strategic skills..
The rules were Noxious Fumes, meaning all monsters would be poisoned right from the start. And to make things crazier, the Aimless ruleset was in play, meaning all attacks would be scattershot and completely random. So, nothing was guaranteed — it was all unpredictable chaos!
Before diving into the match, I had pretty high expectations. My trusty summoner, Lobb Lowland, was back in action. I selected Lobb Lowland at level 6, fully boosted to maximize its ability to spread poison across the battlefield while keeping my team alive. My lineup wasn’t just strong; each monster had unique skills that could offer an advantage every round.
Here’s the team I brought into battle:
- Pelacor Mercenary (Level 6) – With Flying and Heal, this monster is incredibly versatile.
- Fungus Flinger (Level 7) – Its Martyr and Blind abilities are key in intense fights.
- Quora Towershead (Level 2) – This beast comes with Bloodlust and Heal, making it a game-changer.
- Venari Marksrat (Level 6) – With Martyr and Snare, this little rat can provide a significant advantage.
- Thunderhood Nomad (Level 2) – With Reflection Shield, it’s the perfect defender against powerful attacks.
On the other side, my opponent had a unique strategy as well. They were using Lobb Lowland at level 4, and their lineup was just as formidable:
- Lurking Puffer (Level 1) – With Corrosive Ward, this one was tough.
- Fungus Flinger (Level 5) – The Martyr skill made this one a clear threat.
- Quora Towershead (Level 2) – This giant beast also had Bloodlust and Heal, just like mine.
- Venari Marksrat (Level 3) – Another Martyr-equipped monster, ready to create chaos.
- Blackmoor Nymph (Level 1) – With Immunity, this one would be hard to poison.
- Goblin Psychic (Level 3) – A healer who could potentially prolong the fight.
The battle began, and everything went according to plan. Poison started to eat away at all the monsters on the field, but my Pelacor Mercenary held on, thanks to its Heal ability. However, surviving wasn’t the only goal. My opponent had a similar strategy, placing Fungus Flinger and Venari Marksrat around their Quora. But I felt confident when I noticed their monsters had lower HP. That was a huge weakness in the Aimless ruleset. Quora’s scattershot would easily hit them, triggering its Bloodlust.
And sure enough, in the second round, Quora’s Bloodlust activated! Its attack became stronger, and with each random hit, its HP and damage kept increasing. As the poison wore down both sides, any enemy monsters without Heal or high HP began to drop one by one. The first to fall was their Fungus Flinger, followed by their Venari Marksrat. I had predicted these two would fall quickly, especially due to the combination of poison and scattershot.
The most epic moment came when only two Quoras remained on the battlefield. It was a queen vs. queen battle. I watched as my Quora, now significantly boosted from its earlier attacks, had much stronger stats than the opponent's. While their Quora put up a good fight, it couldn’t compete with the power mine had accumulated. Each round, their Quora’s HP dropped lower, and finally, one last hit from my Quora ended the match.

This experience was both thrilling and nerve-wracking. I was so impressed with how much strategy and tactics could shift the tide of battle. The moment Quora’s Bloodlust activated and started rampaging was unforgettable.
I learned something important from this fight: sometimes choosing monsters with lower HP can backfire, especially in rulesets like Noxious Fumes. Although both my opponent and I used a similar martyr strategy, I was luckier because my Quora activated its Bloodlust first.
From this battle, I also learned that selecting the right monsters and understanding the game’s mechanics are crucial. Noxious Fumes can be a double-edged sword if you’re not careful, but with the right strategy, victory is within reach. Splinterlands offers such an exciting experience, and I can’t wait to try out new strategies in future battles. Who knows, I might discover an even stronger combination next time!
