I am here again to share some memorable moments in my life.
This was my second time witnessing a Sanggi Festival show in my hometown Matahum na Tabogon. Last 2023 I was just merely an audience.
This year 2024 not just an audience but a participant already. This year the contestants were five selected secondary schools namely: Ilihan Integrated Schools, Kal-anan National High School, Don Esteban Nolasco Memorial National High School, Doña Liling National High School, and Daantabogon National High School.
I belong to cluster 1 Ilihan Integrated School which is composed of five barangays namely: Ilihan, Caduawan, Libjo, Mabuli, and Managase.
This year we were so lucky that we were visited by our beloved Governor of Cebu Province Governor Gwen Garcia together with the Vice Mayor of Tabuelan Hon. Rex Gerona and his wife Madam Marife Gerona.

I was happy that I participated in this big event in our hometown. Though it was tiresome from day one of the practice down to the final showdown.
My heartfelt thanks to all the people who supported our cluster. We ranked 2nd runner up and we received 60 thousand pesos as a cash prize.
The champion was Don Esteban Nolasco Memorial National High School, 1st runner was Daantabogon National High School, 2nd runner was Ilihan Integrated School, 3rd runner was Kal-anan National High School, and 4th runner was Doña Liling Neis Negapatan National High School.
In every competition, there is always a winner and there is always a loser but the most important thing is the participants are enjoying what they are doing.
Sanggi Festival showdown includes sowing, harvesting, and thanksgiving. This celebration was done in honor of our Patron Saint San Isidro Labrador.
