So, What is Noxious Fumes Ruleset ? Here is the explanation from Splinterlands Site :
So, all monster without the immunity will get poisoned and took 2 damage each turn, which will cause the game more interesting with no one is safe even on the back.
The Missfocus
So, what missfocus often occurs on this ruleset ?
Since there is poison effect on all monster, some people only focus on trying to survive as long as they can from the poison. Nothing wrong with it, and we should consider it as well, because the poison is applied to all monster without immunity, but never forget that our problem is not just the poison, there is enemies that we need to face, and in the end, the game is still about eliminating all enemies. Having high damage monster could be another way to win the game even without any cleanse or heal, because we can eliminate our enemies before the poison eliminate our own monsters.

Here is the formation. The ruleset is noxious fumes, are you not entertained, and the new ruleset that only allow monster with 3 or more damage to enter the battlefield.
My enemies only put 3 monster, but with high mana, stats, and ability. Meanwhile, I got 5 monster, and 1 of them is a 1 mana cost monster. I also have a gladius with opportunity ability, and a monster with life leech ability that allow her to increase her health each turn. Last I got a monster with high damage but with zap ability that cause all team took 1 damage each turn. So, my team took 3 damage each turn! I tried a very aggresive strategy this time.
On the other side, My enemies got a gladius card with cleanse on them, I know he want to survive from the poison by having the cleanse, but will it help on this battle ? Let's see how it goes !
At the end of 1st round, both team still having all monster on the battlefield. Let's move to the end of 2nd round !
Well, 2 monster are eliminated on both side, which see there is only 1 monster left on my enemies side. But it won't long last because 2 of my monster is getting eliminated by the poison and the zap !
Now at the end of 3rd round, it's 1 on 1 situation, but my monster is on advantage because she got armor and life leech ability, meanwhile my enemies have only opportunity and his damage will get blocked by my monster.
It's a win for my team !
Conclussion
On noxious fumes ruleset, getting cleanse is usefull for remove the poison, but while you try survive from the poison, be carefull by enemies attack because they can eliminate your team with powerfull monsters. The battle could changed from who stay longer against the poison into the battle of eliminating enemies faster. And don't forget that life leech can work like a heal on this ruleset !
