This post goes for 'Show me a photo (of a bird)' contest, round #189. No week's topic was given, so I just share some recent photos of the crows I did the last week in the park. I came across several crows bathing their prey in water (wheat bread crumbs), and were so engrossed with it, they allowed me to get close... up to a certain limit, of course. The photos were taken with a 150mm telephoto lens. And most of them obviously require me to send them to the Shadows and Reflections community..
These were almost natural monochrome. I made a b-w conversion, but it did not changed the photos too much - just added more contrast.
...but before the nature changed its dress to monotonous monochrome wintertime coat - we have the joyful time with all the colours boisterity of Indian summer.
A very appetizing crumb! (Below is uncropped version of the image).
Another cropped close-up.
I was probably 2 meters away from the place where the food was being rinsed... but I couldn't get any closer - as soon as I crossed the invisible line, the crow cawed angrily and relocated...
