Hello, a BAM device is the Spanish abbreviation for 'Mobile Broadband' (in Spanish: Banda Ancha Movil).

I think I bought mine a few years earlier than you point out, still have it working. It has turned out to be quite a loyal device :)
Quite long lasting device.
My device is long gone and even the telephone company is out of business (taken over by another company).
Wow, I had read that this device had been discontinued, but at least in my country the company that sold it to me is still working, you have to see how time has passed.
