We are on Sunday night, this March 24 has passed with relative calm. Estamos en la noche del domingo, este 24 de marzo ha transcurrido con una calma relativa. A pesar de que los perros de la zona han estado ladrando bastante, como si alertaran de algo, mi hermano ha revisado constantemente y no logró nunca ver a que le ladraban, eso preocupa un poco, pero hay poco que podamos hacer.

La celebración parece que se inició en Estados Unidos, pero esta golosina se popularizó fue a partir de la década de los años 30 del siglo XX. Se puede encontrar también entre las golosinas comunes en Canadá, según leí en un registro, pero es algo que es más propio de la época navideña de que otras temporadas del año.

La preparación de esta #golosina es muy simple, se tiene a mano una cierta cantidad de uvas pasas y se pasa por una mezcla de cobertura de chocolate, en cuanto la cobertura se enfría se tiene listo el snack. No es complicado, es relativamente saludable, y aporta una buena cantidad de azúcares y calorías.

From what I read, the most popular and widespread version is the one prepared with dark chocolate, but there is a variant that is made with white chocolate coverage. Personally, I prefer the use of dark #chocolate, with little sugar, and relatively low use of milk for the mixture. But, it's a matter of personal taste.

By the way, in my country it is not a very common preparation, but we do have this candy on the market. The thing is that raisins come as part of an assortment, strawberry and peanut, all covered in chocolate. I remember that the Venezuelan brand Savoy was the one that produced this candy, but at this moment I can't remember the commercial name of the packaging.

My memory is failing, plus I haven't bought these sweets for a long time.

Por lo que leí, la versión más popular y extendida es la que se prepara con chocolate negro, pero hay una variante que se hace con cobertura de #chocolate blanco. En lo personal, me gusta más el uso del chocolate negro, con poca azúcar, y relativamente bajo en uso de lácteos para la mezcla. Pero, es cosa de gustos personales.

Por cierto, en mi país es una preparación no muy frecuente, pero si tenemos de esta golosina en el mercado. La cosa es que las uvas pasas vienen como parte de un surtido, de frutilla y maní, todas ellas recubiertas de chocolate. Recuerdo que la marca venezolana Savoy fue la que produjo esta golosina, pero en este instante no me viene a la memoria el nombre comercial que tenía el empaque.

Cosas de la memoria que falla, además de que tengo mucho tiempo que no compro de estas golosinas.
