Today is a calm Saturday, one of those calm days in my #life. I usually start the publication with comments about my daily life, but today I want to change the order in which I usually write a little. I am going to comment first on today's celebration, which is a celebration of the turn of the year. Yes, it is February according to my calendar, but this day (February 10, 2024) is the beginning of the Chinese Year of the Dragon, this 2004 is Year of the Wood Dragon.
I frequently focus on issues of #History, and in particular history, on topics that interest me, but today I wanted to comment on this date change on an Asian calendar. The Chinese calendar is fascinating, based on the lunar cycle, and associates each major cycle (or year) with one of the twelve traditional zodiac animals.

Hoy es un sábado calmado, uno de esos días tranquilos en mi #vida. Suelo comenzar la publicación con comentarios sobre mi día a día, pero hoy quiero alterar un poco el orden en que suelo escribir. Voy a comentar primero la celebración de hoy, que se trata de una celebración de cambio de año. Sí, estamos en febrero según mi calendario, pero este día (10 de febrero de 2024) es el inicio del Año Chino del Dragón de Madera.
Suelo enfocarme en asuntos de la #Historia, y en particular de historia, de temas que me interesan, pero hoy quería comentar sobre esta cambio de fecha en un calendario asiático. El calendario chino es fascinante, se basa en el ciclo lunar, y asocia cada ciclo mayor (o año) a uno de los doce animales zodiacales tradicionales.

The list of the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac, as I remember reading, is prepared from the tradition that tells about the 12 animals that appeared before Buddha, responding to his call. I think that having already commented on what motivated me to give the title of the post, I can move on to comment a little on my daily life. Today I have done little work on the computer, and the most I have been doing today was contacting some acquaintances, but I realize that I have been very far away from everything recently, and there are even some old friendships that I have let cool so much, which turns out to be something unfortunate.

I'm not a big party person, and I'm even one of those who prefer texting to making phone calls, so you can already tell that this can cause distancing problems. Well, I must mend the rifts that my apathy has caused in several of my friendships.
According to the #zodiac, the Year of the Wood Dragon is supposed to be a year marked by expansion, growth, and revival. That includes rekindling relationships that have died down a bit, so I guess I can take inspiration from this to pick up the momentum and repair relationships I've neglected. I hope everything can work well.

Creo que ya habiendo comentado sobre lo que me motivó a dar el título del post, bien puedo pasar a comentar un poco mi cotidianidad. Hoy he hecho poco trabajo en la computadora, y lo más que he estado haciendo hoy fue contactar algunos conocidos, pero me doy cuenta de que he estado muy alejado de todo en tiempos recuentes, e incluso hay algunas viejas amistades que he dejado enfriar tanto, que resulta ser algo lamentable.
Tengo que atender eso, así que voy a tener que ponerme un poco más serio al respecto. No soy muy dado a salir de fiestas, e incluso soy de los que prefieren enviar mensajes de texto que hacer llamadas telefónicas, así que ya podrás notar que eso puede causar problemas de distanciamiento. Bien, debo arreglar las grietas que mi apatía ha provocado en varias de mis amistades.
Se supone que, según el #zodiaco, el Año del Dragón de Madera es un año marcado por la expansión, el crecimiento, y el reavivamiento. Eso incluye el reavivar las relaciones que se han apagado un poco, así que supongo que puedo inspirarme en esto para tomar el impulso y reparar las relaciones que he descuidado.
