Life of a Biochemist (HL-W98E3)

Hello friends and happy weekend to you all..
Some of us in my country grew up learning that education is the key to success, every youth in the community wants to go to school, get his or her dream job and make the money to sustain themselves and family. Funny enough things aren't that way any longer maybe not everywhere though but in my country specifically.

I used to be among those with that exact mindset and thoughts but I have reshaped my thoughts and strategies. God has helped me I just bagged a degree in Biochemistry in Federal University of Lafia Nasarawa State Nigeria. We have allot of graduates like me already some with better results than mine but haven't sustained the dream jobs they've desired to.

I didn't wanted to study Biochemistry initially just like 80% of graduates in my country, it's very difficult to see that someone graduate from the University with the course they really wanted to study, along the line you just need to fall in love with the course that comes before you to study except those people that have people in the authority that can easily manipulate the system and grant them their choice courses.

I didn't wanted to study BCH though I applied for BCH in my school. The reason I applied Biochemistry was to later switch to my choice course after a year since sustaining admission directly to study the course is pretty difficult. After my first year in school, I began to experience allot of difficult situations in school that I don't know how I would have cope with if I was studying my choice course. Another reason that kept me going with Biochemistry was the difficulties in changing of courses in my school, even if you have someone at the authority, that person must also have someone above again for you to be able to gain admission into special courses like medicine and surgery.

I later embraced Biochemistry and learnt possible ways to benefit from the course. Biochemistry is the study of molecules and how they react with the body system, I began to practically see how my body relates with allot of things I do, and I don't, I guess that's already a plus for me. I have learnt drastically the kinds of meals suitable for my body and the kinds of food I shouldn't cultivate the habit of eating them because of the future disasters in them.

I plan to do food business in a wider scale since I know what the body needs and what it doesn't. I have created opportunities for myself to make use of my studies in the University and that is giving me joy that I studied the course in high school. I don't have plans to further immediately though it's part of my agenda to further on when the money comes in. For now after my Nigeria Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, I intend to start implementing my business ideas of which my area of study in the University will be playing a major role in it just like I have stated earlier on.

My school Project
I'm glad I studied Biochemistry and since it is very profitable to me, I will continue with it even at my Master's degree (MSc.)
