In the 40s, in a small village in the Venezuelan Andes, there was a group of young people who were always together, they were classmates of the only high school in the village and also had a study and reading group, in addition, they did activities together having fun and sharing with each other.

In the group, there were several engaged couples, but there was one that was special for everyone, composed of Diego and Mariela, they seemed to have been born for each other, and you could see from afar the love they had for each other.

There was also another boy named Andrés in the group, he was the son of the owner of the pharmacy, and he was one of the few teenagers who owned a bicycle in the village. Andrés was a very spoiled and spoiled boy, he also had a very bad temper and always mistreated other boys, so he was always lonely and bitter. Besides, Andrés was terribly in love with Mariela, he had done everything to conquer her, but Mariela's heart only had room for Diego.

Andrés, feeling despised by Mariela over and over again, was very upset and full of hatred towards Diego, so he decided to visit a witch named Clotilde, she hired and told him to do whatever he had to do to separate the couple and make Mariela join him.

Clotilde, the witch, decided to help Andrés, but she told him that he should do what she told him, since it was very dangerous what she did was going to do, Andrés, with his stultifying tone, told her “Do what you have to do, but give me a positive answer and don't worry about getting paid, if you give me that, I'll give you what you ask for”. Upon hearing this, Clotilde, made a satanic incantation and summoned a demon named Gozland, who demanded that Andrés perform several actions, including performing a rite with his bicycle, which would be the object that would unite him in the rite, he also had to make sacrifices and different rites for him, and after doing so, he would deliver Mariela to him, but if he did not comply, he would take her soul to hell.

Andrés, always annoying, impulsive and immature, did not let Clotilde talk when she tried to be an intermediary in the negotiation with the devil and said “Ask for what you want, and I will give it to you” The demon, laughed and began to ask for a series of actions, rites and finally the sacrifice of 7 animals. The demon wanted Andrés' soul, so he asked him that the last animal that Andrés should kill was his dog, his only and great friend since he was 12 years old, and now, at 16, he had committed himself to a demon to kill him.

Andrés, believing himself always smarter and better than the others, told the demon that, yes. Clotilde, told him that he must do everything, requested, would be brutally punished by the devil.

Andre's did everything he had promised the demon, but he refused to kill his dog. In addition, he tried to deceive the demon, killing his neighbour's dog, doing it within the tenebrous rite that was indicated to him. Clotilde, the witch, upon learning of the situation, told Andrew, that he must sacrifice his dog with the Satanic, a ritual indicated in the name of Gozland, or he would be punished.

Andre's, he loved his dog and refused to do it. And when the witch insisted on threatening Andrés, he ran out, scared and upset on the bicycle, and when he grabbed the main avenue to go home, Andrés, saw on the way the figure of a terrible being, a horrible demon, with red and bright eyes and totally disfigured and deformed, who tried to grab him, when trying to dodge the monster, made his bicycle towards the avenue and there he was hit by a passenger bus.

Andrés injured on the floor, suffering a lot with the pain of the wounds, he tried to get up and saw his legs shattered in the middle of the remains of the bicycle, at that moment, full of terror, he coughed, and the blood came out of his mouth, at that moment he realized that he was going to die. But in the instant before he died, Andrés blamed his fate on Mariela and Diego and said that he would destroy them again and make them suffer, until death.

When he was about to expire, Gozland the demon, appeared before him, surrounded by other demons who served him, and when they began to drag his soul to take it with them, Andrew told the demon, that he had done everything he asked, except to kill his dog and that's why he asked him to allow him to take revenge, before being taken with him.

Gozland, told him that yes he could take revenge, but then he should go with them to hell. Three days after Andrés' burial, in the village, the voice of a young man could be heard screaming and moaning, which joined the noise of a bicycle, that always happened after 12 at night and in the early morning, especially on the street where Diego lived.

A few months after the death, Andrés, Diego and Mariela stayed at a party at a friends' house and around 12 at night the group of friends decided to go home. They left in a group and were walking through the streets of the village, taking the girls home. When there were 4 people left, Diego, Mariela, a cousin of Mariela and Diego's neighbour, everyone was walking to Mariela's house, to drop off the girls, and then go home.

At that moment, when everyone was walking, laughing and commenting on the party, the 4 heard the bugle of a bicycle at the end of the street and when they turned to see where the sound was coming from, they saw the figure of Andrés pedalling on the bicycle towards them. When they saw this, terror seized them, none of them could believe what they were seeing.

And while they were full of fear and thinking about what was happening, the bicycle was getting closer and closer, and on top of it, the figure of Andrés was transfiguring, which had the boys increasingly terrified.

The figure of Andrés gradually turned into a demon, with red eyes that lit up more and more, pointed horns were visible on his head that were coming out, in addition some teeth were visible that came out of his open mouth, from where a kind of yellow and greenish saliva fell, which reminded the figure of a dog with rage, which joined a total disfigurement of the body and the voice, which emitted a series of roars when pedalling. While all this was happening, flames of fire were coming out of the bicycle, which became larger and joined to the deformed and disfigured body of Andrés.

The demon was getting closer and faster, to them, laughing in a macabre way as he pedalled on the fire bike. Diego, Mariela and their companions were suddenly paralysed by fear, unable to move or flee from the creepy figure that was approaching, as the terror had them paralysed.

When they were about to start running, a much more frightening figure appeared out of nowhere than Andrés', that thing that was forming in front of them was Gozland, the demon, who now owns Andrés' soul.
He stopped in front of the group and with a cold and sinister voice said to the group, pointing to Mariela: “You dared to despise Andrés and that made him make a pact with me, now his spirit is with me, and he will come to take revenge on you again and again, and when I succeeded he will be with me. Then he looked at the group, "Anyone who gets in his way will be destroyed and will come with me.”

At that moment, Mariela remembered that she was carrying a family heirloom that her great-uncle gave her, shortly before he died, that heirloom was the medal of St. Benedict. She, desperate, took out the medal and held it in front of her, pointing at the demon Gozland.

When they did that, the figure of the demon vanished in front of them, giving screams of pain and agony, when they turned back, they saw that the figure of Andrés, began to blur, and when Mariela, trembling, lifted the medal to where he was coming with his burning bicycle, the image vanished in the middle of another terrible scream of pain.

After this experience, the group of boys decided to seek the help of Father Gregorio, a priest who knew everything about the supernatural and exorcisms. Father Gregorio, after hearing the boys' story, made an investigation that led him to visit Clotilde and after questioning her, he learned what happened to Andrés.

Father Gregorio told the young people everything that had happened and the current situation, where he explained to them when Andrés did not fulfil the sacrifices and rites offered to Gozland, this demon took revenge by scaring him, which caused Andrés' death in the accident. And in that process, Andrés' spirit was trapped in a limbo between life and death, where he is condemned to be a carrier of evil, until he does not fulfil his promise.

The priest told the young people that the only way to be able to save themselves and also save Andrés' soul, thus preventing him from continuing to terrorize his group and the people, was to perform an exorcism. He also told them that he couldn't do the exorcism, because the bishop wouldn't allow it, so the task should fall to them as a group.

Diego, Mariela and their group of friends decided to accept the challenge, so they armed themselves with courage to perform the exorcism and face the demon.

The exorcism was performed by the boys in the old village cemetery where Andrés had been buried. The group performed prayers, prayers, they quoted the rituals, the psalms and the litanies that Father Gregorio told them and in the strongest moments of the exorcism, Mariela defended the group using the family heirloom, protecting everyone with the medal of St. Benedict, while the group fought against the evil forces that tried to keep Andrés in hellish limbo.

The battle and the spiritual struggle of the boys in the exorcism was brutal and ruthless, and each of the 4 boys had a family heirloom that protected them, Diego the Rosary of his Grandmother, Mariana, the Bible of his grandfather, who was a Protestant Pastor, Diego, a blue sash and an apron that belonged to his grandfather an old Mason and Mariela, the medal of St. Benedict.

Already after having gone through the ritual that Father Gregorio had told him for 3 times and many prayers and prayers, the dawn was coming, at that moment, each of the boys clung to his personal faith, to his belief and everyone asked for the liberation of Andrés' soul from his personal position, at that moment a terrible cry of pain was heard.

At that moment Mariela placed the medal of St. Benedict on the tomb of Andrés, then everyone did the same. Being the last Diego, who placed his grandfather's apron and ribbon. At that moment, without any external protection, each of the boys prayed in his own way, and at that moment the miracle happened.

The soul of Andrés appeared, thanked the group, asked for forgiveness, and so his soul ascended to its place of peace and rest. The boys decided to bury what was left of his bicycle next to Andrés, to prevent anyone from using it to summon dark forces and disturb the boy's soul again.

After that situation, Diego and Mariela continued living their love story and whenever they saw someone full of envy or hatred, they would tell him the story of Andrés and his bicycle, teaching them the importance of not getting carried away by envy, since that leads people to hatred and pacts with evil.

La Bicicleta del Conjuro de Los Andes. Cuento de Terror. Contenido Original.

Hello @osomar357,

You applied yourself with this story. It is quite complex, with several characters and twists. It is admirable when a writer puts so much into a piece. It is indeed a horror story, and with a little polishing could be a very good horror story.

You have explained the punishment Andres receives. You have given him strong motivation. And you have showed this character mercy in the story.

We do have issues with the story that perhaps you can correct. There is a bit of gore described when Andres is hit by the bus. Also, you have him killing a dog. We don't accept cruelty to animals in the community. Please try to find a way around this and edit the story. Perhaps he can pretend to kill the neighbor's dog but not actually kill it.

Also, the story runs very long. Generally, our story maximum length is 1000 words. This goes over 2000. Nonetheless, you did put a lot into it and we appreciate that.

We upvoted your story because you put so much into it and we think it is worthy. However, please make the edits we suggest.

Thank you.

Great story, @osomar357. It's like a real-life horror movie. I must say, Andrés really took the phrase "on your bike" to a whole new level, but on a serious note, this story gave us a chance to learn the consequences of envy and making pacts with evil forces. I'm glad Diego and Mariela's love thrived in the end, but now I will think twice before getting on a bicycle at midnight..lol

Hello, very good day and best wishes.
I am very glad you liked it.
I spent some time thinking, in three options, before writing the story and I decided on that one.
Thank you very much for the comment.

You did an impressive job. 💝
