RE: Alternative Weekend: Cheery Christmas Songs

in Alternative Weekend11 months ago

Merry Christmas dude!

It's got to be better than working at Quick Save.

I still remember working at Micro P and that director turning up on the last working day with a boot full of frozen turkeys and a crate of beer for each of us.

I thought my Dad would be pleased when I got home, but he'd already bought one and there was no room at the inn, erm, I mean freezer.

Those were the days my friend, I thought they'd never end.

My favourite chrimbo song is still Fairy Tale of New York by the Pogues if anyone is interested. An edgy classic.

Better memory than me! I can't remember that, was it ID?

Micro P was great, especially when in Rawtenstall.

I am not a fan of any of them as they are constantly overplayed to the point where I am sick of hearing them now. That goes for any songs, even ones I like.

ID, the guy with his initials in italics on the front doors of his Porsche so flowery you couldn't make out what they meant, nah, he was tight as a duck's rear end.

It was the operations Director when I started, he left a year or so after and the frozen turkeys were no more.

Yes Micro P was good when it was based in Rawtenstall, the place was full of characters, and many things happened.

The warehouse manager at Micro P was obsessed with The Carpenters, he had one of there LP's (on tape) on constant repeat. I still groan when I hear a Carpenters song!

I don't want to name names here, will send you a message via discord.
