Personally, I have known the song since I was very young. Obviously I didn't listen to it when it was first released, but I did grow up listening to several of her songs. It's about going back to look for the lost love that maybe ended or maybe regret made her come back to resolve what was left unfinished. This part is up to you and your interpretation because you can easily decide why she comes back for him or why she does it.

To me there are several things in the lyrics that seem somewhat interesting. One is the approach as such that it has, that is, the typical approach to love, and I think that many of you upon hearing it could interpret it as a way of giving us a lesson about how there is always time to ask for forgiveness or to rectify a mistake. I think that would be the most basic thing that can be extracted from the lyrics. But I tell you that is only more basic, because for example I really like the part where she says (Miriam) (or you could be yourself) that she will "come back." And I think that in another context maybe it doesn't refer to returning to the romantic as such. Maybe it could be to apologize? At least that's how I see it.

On the other hand, there is another context that I like. That is to say, it wants to speak to us, or perhaps better said, to convey that we should have more courage to face our mistakes, or perhaps the bad things we did and left behind unresolved. I tell you this because sometimes we ourselves leave those important mistakes we made unresolved, and we don't "go back" as the song says to fix them. In the end, we will obviously be the ones affected because we will continue to drag that mistake with us wherever we go and when you least expect it, it is back because you didn't resolve it when it was time. In other words, as the song says, you should have come back for yourself, in this case the mistake.

I believe, and this is my opinion, that if you fail, the best thing is to fix what you did as soon as possible. That way you partly free yourself from carrying that around. You understand me. As I already told you, this is just, as always, my interpretation of the lyrics, but if you want, you can only stay on the romantic side of the song, and in fact there is no problem with that because it is one of the valid contexts. That's why I like it because you can use it to liven up an activity or for what I'm doing here, to get something out of the message.
