The last ones have been in English, French, and others. So I was already looking forward to bringing you one from my native language, which I know very well. It's the song Donde Estabas. I'll tell you that she wrote this song right after she split up with the band where she became famous, La Oreja de Van Gogh. The story of that name is quite curious and even a little funny, but we'll leave that for another post because it's not relevant at the moment. It's also interesting for you to know that this song was not released as an individual single. I'm telling you this because the song actually belongs to a larger album. That album is quite good and I recommend it to you. I've already listened to it several times in its entirety so I can confirm that it's quite good. Of course this is in my opinion because you may not think the same. 😅

I know that many of those who have reached this point in the post are interested in knowing what the song is really about. So I'm not going to make you wait any longer and I'll tell you right away what it's about. Let's see if Amaia says a lot about disappointment in the lyrics. That is to say, it is about the disappointment that someone feels when someone else that they trusted is not there when they needed them the most. That is why I like the song so much because it is one of the few that I think within this theme knows how to best transmit this message. It would be good if many put it into practice. In addition to this message that can be said to be the secondary one, there is also the primary one, which I already gave you a clue about before. That is to say, when the person is not with you when everything was going badly. In this part she says that they failed her because, redundantly, when she needed help, they were not there to give her a hand. I also like this part a lot, especially because of the lesson it teaches us.

The lesson is that when we get together with someone we are ready to help and we don't waste time, because when we got together we made a commitment. I love that part of the song. In my case I always try to do it, but I'm not going to lie to you, it's not always easy to be there 100% when someone needs you. But the important thing is to at least try and make an effort to achieve it, of course.
