Perhaps I am a bit jaded, but I say follow the money. Seems to me often those that like to spark and maintain division have a financial gain involved keeping it going.

Well, that means I am jaded too then, because I feel like those money hungry dragons seem to get their jollies off by stoking dissension. If we are all squabbling they get to steer the ship.
