Hello everyone,
My choice of holiday truly primes me to scale mountains if you know what I mean. The beauty of engagement in the Hive ecosystem, makes it easy for you to picture my holiday. Below is a little snapshot of my holiday blog:
Renowned Australian speaker and highly respected national statesman, Bill Newman, Ph.D., wrote in his book– 10 Laws of Leadership–
"Spend time relaxing. Holidays or days off are not wasted time. They are called recreation. And you do need to be recreated to be an effective leader."
Given these words of Newman and my blog above which is titled– The 'Minor' is the Major– you should now understand my opening sentence in this blog post.
What to do This Year
I'll divide it into 2 broad categories, having decided to take away some weed. In that my holiday blog I spoke of, I wrote:
"It was a time to holistically reflect on the past year and make non-sentimental appraisal. It was indeed necessary for me to improve on where I scored low marks. Other areas needed total overhauling."
What I refer to as weed are things like procrastination and poor time management.
So the two broad categories are:
Profession 1
Profession 2
Profession 1
This has to do with my discipline in school. I'm a Solar Engineer. It's time to make a giant leap from not just providing solar products and installation services to people but also coming to the point where I am a "producer".
In previous years our firm procures products from trusted sources to instal solar systems in companies or residential houses. We also supply solar complaint appliances, ranging from television, to refrigerator or even kitchen blenders. My desire this year is to move beyond that and partner with those companies we buy from and become a supplier myself, tending towards being able to produce those equipment, appliances et al.
Profession 2
This has to do with my second area of training which is similar to a Medical Doctor, only this time it goes deeper than just the body.
"Your will to live can sustain you when you are sick, but if you lose it, your last hope is gone."
"A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones."
So you see this area has to do with things more fundamental than what meets the eye. This goes down to the foundations of living– a dead man can have his whole body intact, but there's no more breath, the heart and brain have also stopped functioning. Technically it is that his spirit/soul has left him.
So this work is aimed at making people find true joy in their heart, a positive outlook to life. It has a specialised training/schooling to accomplished the same.
Both quotes above are from Proverbs 18:14 and Proverbs 17:22 of the Holy Bible and that's key to my usual ending to blogs or notes, "cheers" or something similar.
So yes, our resource material here is essentially the Word of God, Jesus Christ at the centre stage. Inner hurts, psychological traumas, addictions, inferior complex and much more are taking care of in this my profession which is largely targeted at the youth population.
Let's go year 2024, I'll take you by storm as God Almighty empowers me even beyond my training.
Thanks for reading through.
Stay cheerful.
