It is a great moment to share with you during this last days of 2024.
Splinterlands has kept me really engaged since the start to the end of this year. I learned so much that I progress from Gold level to Champion III League.
It is a pleasure to engage once again in this edition of the community social dialogue about the game we love to play without interruption, one cool strategy with melee only fighters on the board.
Time has come to Jump in the game...
Rules Of engagement in the arena
Shades of Gray: Only Neutral units may be used.
Fire & Regret: All Units have Return Fire (returns 50% of ranged damage to attacker, rounded up).
Super Sneak: All melee units have sneak (targets the enemy unit in the last position).
Mana-cap battle: 57
On the battlefield according to the ruleset, they were a high probability that the strategies on the offensive involved the melee fighters. If I was preparing for the battle I would have taken precaution on the defense adding magic resistant abilities to my lineup.

Do you think Helios team is going to take the victory in this battle?
Strategies
The battle has started with interesting actions of the cards in the arena.
I was surprise to see no magic fighters on both sides. Considering the limitation on the archers, I was surprise to see Tatiana on the Pembrook section of the board with the bloodlust ability and a growing range attack point.
I saw the will from both side to boost the performance of their warrior as they called on the battlefield Martyr and Bloodlust abilities equipped cards.
This enhancement of the skills on one side can rapidly change the balance of power in the room.
I found quickly after the first round that the Helios team even though has the demoralize ability could not match the offensive damage caused by the enemy.
The retaliation and the active role of Tatiana in the second round sealed the fate of this combat.
Final thoughts
Pembrook did a cool job during this fight. I was not sure that the Dragon Summoner will easily lose his position of dominance, but it happened.
I think that the lesson in this battle is to dare broke the rules in order to create a situation where the opposition can cope with the consecutive attacks generated by the strategic complexity unexpected on the other side.
