This is my post for @freewriters 2269 prompt trip around Europe hosted by @mariannewest
My husband has been out of the state of Florida 2 times in his life, once when he was a child he went with his parents to Illinois where they were from, and then several years ago my mother moved to Alabama and we visited her but we had to leave early because they were calling for the roads to ice over and my husband did not want to drive on icy roads.
For me, I feel I have been lucky to see the places that I have been to. I have been as far south as you can go in Florida and as far west as I could go in California, I have been as far north as Vermont and into the middle of the USA, Missouri. I have been to the Grand Cayman Islands and Mexico, and I would love to take a trip around Europe, to see a castle up close, go to the Louver Museum, and see the old farmlands and buildings.
The photo is of one of my granddaughters and two of her friends when we went to the Keys. When my granddaughter was 13 her mother let her fly to France, alone. She went to spend some time with her other grandmother who is French and lives there. She took my granddaughter to all of the sites. I asked her what she thought of the Louver Museum she said she thought it was hot and boring, she is in Paris France in the Louver Museum and all she can say is it was hot and boring. I would love to go there. She also went to the catacombs and I agree with her about it, it is very sad. Of course, they went to the tower, I do not think it impressed her, I think she liked the Lighthouse in the Keys that she got to dive around better.
