I have been spending most of my life with children. Not because I love playing with children but because I grew up to see myself taking pleasure in attending to issues that relate to children. This is what we refer to as destiny affiliation. You could wonder how someone could actually make a meaningful life working with children. The question is who are those who help in teaching and coaching your wards in school and in church? Children's work is one of the rewarding careers.
How I Work Among The Children
Maybe you do not believe in the Bible but I do. The Bible says Romans 11:13 (KJV) For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: This means that I magnify my office work with the children. I was born to serve humanity in areas relating to children's upbringing.
I first started as a children's Sunday School teacher. I have been teaching the children in Sunday School every Sunday in church. I still do that even upto last Sunday. Being a pastor of the church does not stop me from teaching the children. I and the children enjoy our engagements as I teach them songs, choreography, Bible study, dramas and other varieties that make them happy.
Later, I took pleasure in teaching in schools. I have been a Physics and Mathematics teacher in about four secondary schools and different instances. I so much enjoyed the profession. There is no other profession which gives me more joy than teaching children and teenagers.
In trying to respond to the impulse which @ericvancewalton has stirred in us through the #memoirmonday initiative, I just remembered my happy times working with the children.
Such Rewarding Benefits
You might not think that it is rewarding working with the young ones but I tell you, it's the most rewarding. The children love with undiluted, unfeigned love. Their love is true and pure. The children build their trust around such a person who could understand their feelings and respond to the same with passion. I also discovered that children's work brings material blessings because parents will appreciate and reward those who help them out with their children.
You might not believe it, but some of my former students and Sunday School children have grown up and some are even married. I have respect in the society even among other people because they look at the children's teacher as someone very intelligent and wise. Among their colleagues and even in their normal lives, my former students respect and send me gifts regularly. They tend to respond to me more than any other person. Honestly, working among the children is highly rewarding.
Do You Believe Destiny And Ministry?
I believe that the work of children is what I was born to do. Most of the talents I have are highly useful in the children sector. So, this is my destiny. I believe my life will find fulfillment doing this. Besides, in the christian religion, we believe in ministry. I believe that my ministry is to minister to children. Another strong point that makes me believe that I am born for this is that children tend to love and enjoy having their time with me.
