Many times, I've had to put myself in the shoes of others to understand what it means to go through what they are going through especially the hard times. And sometimes I remind myself that I haven't seen hard times compared to what many have been through. Too many unbalances in the world so I've learned to appreciate what I got from that equation.
A short musical Korean series I saw some months ago came playing in my head this morning when I woke up, how come?! I had downloaded one of the songs back then and it just played right into my ears, reminding me once again that things can be very hard for people.
The series took me on the life of a lady who got stranded in an island and had to live there for 15 years waiting for a rescue that would come for her someday... In her days there, anyone would do and any day would be fine so long she was rescued. She made hoping on "Someday" look easier than to do it. "Imagine waiting 15 years for someday"
I know it's just another movie with a good storyline but it speaks volume on weathering the storm when things gets hard and there are no glimpse of hope in anyway. The movie didn't show much into how she weathered the storm during that 15 years but from the few throwbacks and stories she told, one can use imagination to say it never got easy until she left there.
The feeling of waiting for a day you are not sure would ever come but hoping and wishing it comes, is something not many can maintain. I mean, it's not easy waiting for a few minutes or hours or days for someone or something to happen, imagine how harder it would be to wait for "someday".
The lyrics of the song below (one from the series) has got all it takes to have feeling sad and then happy, you wait, make wishes and become happy.
It's amazing how she sings a song that resonates well with what the whole series is about and it sounds so good to the ears. I came across some english covers of the song but it still didn't do enough justice to the feeling she gave singing the song in her own language so I do hope you'll listen to this one too like myself.
So yeah, you'd have to read the english interpretation of the song while you listen to get the message of what the song is about and how it connects to this post. To those who feel it has gotten too hard on them, be earnest with your wishes and your someday will come surely.
To those who don't feel that way, appreciate your someday that has come. This is me cheering anyone and myself up for what is happening and what is to come. In everything, I am grateful. Back to listening to more songs from my playlist hehe.
